Which frame style fits your face shape?

Raen released a very simple yet informative article about what type of sunglasses you should purchase. Check it out below!

Unless you know your face shape, buying a pair of sunglasses or eyeglasses might just be the hardest decision you’ll make this year… We’ve done all the legwork for you and hand picked the frames that will fit your face the best. Here’s the RAEN guide to the three most common face shapes.

Square: Angular features, strong jawline, wide forehead, wide and defined cheeks, and a wide chin characterize square faces.  The width of the forehead, cheekbones and jaw are all about the same.

For square faces we recommend aviator, square, wayfarer, cat-eye, and round frames.

Round: Round faces share characteristics of square faces in that the width of the forehead, cheekbones and chin are nearly equal. The difference here lies in the soft features and lack of defined angles of the face.

Frame shapes that will compliment a round face include rectangle, square, wayfarer and aviator style glasses.

Oval: Oval faces are longer than they are wide and feature a narrow chin and forehead with wide cheekbones. Oval faces are well balanced and do not have excessive angular features.

If you’re lucky enough to have an oval face, your choices are endless since oval faces can pull off nearly any frame style.
